Terms of Service
Effective date: August 8, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and Close to the Coast Creative (“MicroCampus,” “we,” “us”) governing your use of the MicroCampus platform at microcampus.site. By creating an account or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. The Service

Features include attendance tracking, parent messaging, tuition collection, progress reports, student portfolios, calendars, enrollment management, forms, and more.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to enter into contracts on behalf of yourself or your organization. If you create an account on behalf of a school or educational program, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
3. Account Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
- All activity that occurs under your account
- Ensuring that all users you invite (staff, parents) comply with these Terms
- Providing accurate and current registration information
Notify us immediately at hello@microcampus.site if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law
- Upload or transmit harmful, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or illegal content
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the platform or its infrastructure
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the platform
- Resell, sublicense, or provide access to the platform to third parties outside your school organization
- Use the platform to build a competing product or service
- Upload student data you do not have legal authority to share
5. Subscriptions and Payment
Plans. MicroCampus offers subscription plans billed monthly or annually. Current pricing is available at microcampus.site/pricing. The features available to you depend on the plan you select.
Billing. Subscriptions are billed in advance via Stripe, our payment processor. By providing payment information, you authorize us to charge your payment method on the billing cycle you select (monthly or annually).
Free Trials. Where offered, free trials automatically convert to paid subscriptions at the end of the trial period unless you cancel before the trial ends.
Add-ons. Certain features (such as SMS notifications or accounting tools) are available as optional paid add-ons billed separately.
Cancellation. You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you retain access until then. We do not provide prorated refunds for unused time in a billing period.
Refunds. All fees are non-refundable except where required by applicable law or granted at our sole discretion in exceptional circumstances. Contact us within 7 days of a charge if you believe a billing error occurred.
Price Changes. We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with at least 30 days’ advance notice to your registered email address. Your continued use after the price change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.
6. Your Data
You retain full ownership of all data you upload or input into MicroCampus, including student records, documents, and communications. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and display that data solely to provide the platform services to you.
You are responsible for ensuring that you have the legal right and any required consents to upload personal data — particularly student data — into the platform. See our Privacy Policy and Data Processing Agreement for details on how we handle data.
7. Intellectual Property
The MicroCampus platform, including its design, software, content, and trademarks, is owned by Close to the Coast Creative and protected by United States and international intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any ownership rights in the platform. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works of any part of the platform without our prior written consent.
8. Third-Party Integrations
The platform integrates with third-party services including Stripe, Twilio, Supabase, Resend, Cloudflare, and Vercel. Your use of those services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices or content of any third-party service.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE MICROCAMPUS PLATFORM IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY FLORIDA LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE PLATFORM WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY FLORIDA LAW, MICROCAMPUS AND ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, REVENUE, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE PLATFORM, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING UNDER THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE TOTAL FEES YOU PAID TO MICROCAMPUS IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100).
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless MicroCampus and its owners, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the platform; (b) your breach of these Terms; (c) your violation of any law or the rights of any third party; or (d) any data you upload to the platform.
12. Termination
By you: You may terminate your account at any time by canceling your subscription. Data deletion will occur within 90 days of account closure.
By us: We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you breach these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or if continued access poses a risk to the platform or other users. We will provide notice where reasonably practicable. Termination does not entitle you to a refund of prepaid fees.
Sections 7, 9, 10, 11, and 13 survive termination of these Terms.
13. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the platform shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Florida, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.
Before initiating formal legal proceedings, you agree to first contact us at hello@microcampus.site to attempt to resolve the dispute informally.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email to your registered address or by in-app notice at least 30 days before the changes take effect. The effective date at the top of this page indicates when the current version was last updated. Your continued use of the platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
15. General
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Data Processing Agreement, constitute the entire agreement between you and MicroCampus regarding the platform. If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of our right to do so in the future.
